Rules page
On this page you can add some information on how to play as a contender in the pool. The plugin supports several shortcodes that you can put in this text. See the help page in the admin for more information about the shortcodes.
The text below is an example for such a page.
Subscription
Subscription for the pool is easy. All you have to do is think of a login name and a valid email address. If you lost your password, you can generate a new one. Or ask the webmaster.
Predicting the matches
Predict the set result of all the matches in the tournament/competition. A volleyball match is won by the team that wins three sets first, so every match ends in one of these six results: 3-0, 3-1, 3-2, 0-3, 1-3 or 2-3. You have until 15 minutes before the start of a match to add or change your prediction.
The server time is used. No discussion about that, so be on time if you want to fill in your scores.
As you may have noticed the matches in the next stages are not yet filled at the beginning of the tournament. Once the teams are through to the next round, I will add them. These matches can also be changed until 15 minutes before the match starts. Or, if you’re feeling lucky, you can predict them now.
The bonus questions
You can earn extra points during the tournament with the bonus questions (for example: who will be the champion, the finalists or the tournament MVP). These questions must be answered before a given date and time. Each question shows the points you can earn.
The scoring
Each match is scored on three levels. If you predict the exact set result (for example you predicted 3-1 and the match ends 3-1) you get the full score. If you only predict the correct winner but not the exact sets (for example you predicted 3-0 and the match ends 3-2) you get the toto score. If you made a prediction but got the winner wrong, you still get the participation score for taking part.

Streak bonus
Predict several exact set results in a row and you earn an extra bonus: 15 points for 3 exact results in a row and 25 points for 5 exact results in a row. A non-exact result resets your streak.
Weekly bonus
The matches are grouped into gameweeks (date ranges set by the webmaster). When a gameweek is finished, the three players with the most points in that gameweek earn an extra bonus of 30, 20 and 10 points respectively.
If you want to view the ranking, then go to the ranking page and pick the correct league. If you’re logged in, then the league for which you subscribed, is automatically picked.
The multiplier
Each player has one or more multipliers (SEE PLUGIN SETTINGS). If you enable a multiplier on a match, the score for that match is multiplied by 2. You may enable the multiplier on every match and you can change your mind and move the multiplier as long this match is still changeable. The multiplier is activated after the prediction for the match is locked. Once activated the multiplier cannot be moved anymore.
Same ranking?
When multiple players have the exact same amount of points, then the following sorting rules are applied on the ranking (most important one at the top):
- amount of exact set results (full scores);
- amount of correct winners (toto scores);
- amount of correct bonus questions.
